Hi, I’m spending an obscene amount of time window shopping online lately.
That’s my confession for the week.
More so now than ever, I have been spending countless hours scrolling through and bouncing around the internet looking for cute things that speak to my soul even though uh, my pockets are empty, friends.
But lately, I’ve felt a magnetic attraction to Etsy. It’s my go-to online shopping destination in these recent dark times.
Scrolling through Etsy is addicting because handmade goods are just *chef’s kiss* next level. Talk about serotonin BOOSTING.
I adore a unique handmade tchotchke, keychain, or sticker. Granted, I’m too indecisive to ever use the stickers or things that I do buy, but I love them all the same. I like to have a little collection of little knickknacks sitting around. I like my money where I can see it, you know?
Since I’m spending so much time on Etsy and because it’s important to shop small and support small creators during this time, I think this will be a recurring series here on the blog: my top Etsy finds of the week!
Without further ado, here are some of my favorite finds from sellers and artists that I found on Etsy this week! Enjoy! ♡⊂ʕ•ᴥ•⊂ʔ
1. Mini Cow Magnets by MarigoldHome
I’ve kinda been obsessed with cows lately, especially in light of the strawberry cow craze.
Strawberry cow was actually trending on Etsy a few days ago which led me to sifting through cow related decor and trinkets.
These mini magnets are… amazing. Incredible. They’re a want, a need. A must have if you will.
Gudetama and I share some kind of deep, personal emotional connection which is indescribable.
I am instantly drawn to anything Gudetama and remotely melodramatic egg-related.
I’ve also been looking for more art for my room and this? This fits the bill, friends.
So lately I’ve been shopping for a new car because well, I don’t have a car and I desperately need my own vehicle.
The only problem is that I hate driving so my motivation for actually putting money down for a car is near ground-level.
The only way I’ve found to motivate myself toward being a car owner is to think of all the neat decals I can put on my car once I get it.
I have soooo many holographic car decals saved on my Etsy, but this one is my favorite and one of the first that I found. SaltyTearsClub has so many cute decals that I fully intend on buying once I actually have a car… ha.
I’ve loved all things aliens for as long as I can remember. When I graduated high school, one of the first places I visited on my celebratory road trip was Area 51. Ooh, I love a good alien.
Recently, I had the idea to start a fun little George Noory-inspired, X-Files extraterrestrial and supernatural podcast.
Running with this idea, I thought what better way to get motivated for the project but to get some kitschy alien wear.
As I said previously, I have a whole array of saved holographic decals on my Etsy now. Anything holographic and I already love it.
Even though I haven’t been into Pokemon for like… years and years, Mew still holds a special place in my heart.
A few months ago before lockdown and quarantine and everything that’s happened since, I actually had plans to get a Mew tattoo 🙂 Now, obviously, that’s not happening for a while, but I still love all things Mew.
Anyway, another holographic decal for my car that I don’t have but hopefully will have by the end of the year.
Another pokemon that has stayed with me even as I drifted away from the franchise and the Pokemon world in general is Ditto. Always loved that little dude.
One expression, could be anything it wanted, underestimated by nearly everyone. Another kindred spirit.
Now one thing to know about me… I love keychains and I love a good resin keychain.
I love resin keychains so much that I wanted to start making my own until I saw how much quality resin actually costs. So until I can start generating some serious cash flow to make my own resin goods, Etsy satisfies my craving for glittery cute resin knick knacks.
Love a good plush.
What more is there to be said?
It’s my personal belief that society started going downhill as soon as phone manufacturers removed the notch on our phones that was made for cell phone charms.
Cell phone charms made us better people.
They advanced society. And now look at us.
The overlap between people no longer being able to use cell phone charms and the chaotic fragmentation of society is pretty apparent to anyone who’s paying attention.
Anyway, even though my phone doesn’t have a designated charm notch anymore, I love to finesse and finagle a charm onto my phone. This is such a super cute charm, too. Love it.
Okay listen, my love of Kermit the Frog spans back years and years. Even before he became a meme, I loved Kermit.
I have a greenish tint to my skin and so “It’s Not Easy Being Green”? My theme song for years.
This Kermit Saint Candle is everything and I’m so glad it exists. Just thinking about it makes me happy.
So this is a bit on the darker side but the first time I saw this shirt, I started laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes. The comic sans-like font and Kermit’s dumb face make it absolutely perfect.
Relevant, dark, funny, and Kermit. It’s all I could ever ask for in a teeshirt.
So those are my top 10 Etsy finds of the week.
If your humor or interests are anything like mine, maybe you found them interesting and will consider helping some fellow artisans and crafters out by purchasing some of their goods!
I’ll have another list of my top 10 Etsy finds next week!!
Stay safe, friends!
